Grannies aren't all nice...

My Brave Unc.William Einstein

I read in my Uncle Williams memoirs that when he was younger, he and his parents lived beside the Great Albert Einstein- wow- in New Jersey. He wrote that A.E had played the Sax/Trumpet very badly, and that sadly his genius did not diffuse through the walls. I believe it did. He's such a great man.
I found this picture of Einstein and it made me think of the anecdote my Uncle William shared.

I read an autobiography of Einsteins once, he was a fascinating man. I asked my Professor last year during a neurophysiology practical what the difference between his brain and that of any regular persons was and he said that upon postmortem specialists had found that there are more defined neuron pathways.

I'm going to go buy myself a DS. :)

Signs Of Summer Coming..

The other day I was walking to an exam with Kim, we went through Herbert Park and I spotted the most peculiar looking duck... not like the regular mallards, it was so much more ornate. Upon inspection i noticed it was actually a pair, the female is much more Glam that our little brown ones.

Anyway after much research I found that It was infact a North American Wood Duck!

Their breeding habitat is wooded swamps, shallow lakes, marshes or ponds in eastern North America, the west coast of the United States and western Mexico. They usually nest in cavities in trees close to water, although they will take advantage of nesting boxes in wetland locations if available. The Wood Duck tends to fly for prolonged periods of time after reproducing. Their personality is shy and skittish.

They predict a good summer! Come on BBQ weather!

My Mad Mother.

I'll teach my boy the sweetest things;
I'll teach him how the owlet sings.
My little babe! thy lips are still,
And thou hast almost suck'd thy fill.
--Where art thou gone my own dear child?
What wicked looks are those I see?
Alas! alas! that look so wild,
It never, never came from me:
If thou art mad, my pretty lad,
Then I must be for ever sad.

Oh! smile on me, my little lamb!
For I thy own dear mother am.
My love for thee has well been tried:
I've sought thy father far and wide.
I know the poisons of the shade,
I know the earth-nuts fit for food;
Then, pretty dear, be not afraid;
We'll find thy father in the wood.
Now laugh and be gay, to the woods away!
And there, my babe; we'll live for aye.

Bernard Shaw carboot Sale April 2009

After almost forgetting to go- I finally made it, It was all the fun I expected in a smaller space.
I arrived with Mark- who helpfully knew where it was! The stall holders were really lovely and all seemed to be really happy to be there; I shamefully expected it to be full of posers and pill-heads waiting for the night to begin so they can play- properly!!

I spoke to a few people who were absolutely lovely- one told me about an unfortunate event she witnessed in the loo-{ The Shaw carboot sale happened to be the target of some shit-head juveys who pelted eggs unmercifully at the shaw-goers who ran for cover in every nook and cranny imaginable} The girl in the loo had caught an egg with her hair and was tring to wash it out with hot water (!!!), She found it the scrambled egg harder to remove.

Anna and Malin joined us and they found it amazing!!!
They could not stop buying- allot more successful than I, I have to say- I walked away with a heart of glass I bought for three quid and I gave it to my sister,Michelle, who fortuntely can't stop singing the Blondie tune.

Making memories....

Today I received my new Canon 20D In the post. I'm really excited about it because Photos were never really a big deal in my past and therefore hardly any of my families memories were captured. I'm excited to start capturing them and sharing them here. I'm gonna add some photos I took today already.

This is Misty or Mini We're not quite sure what to call her yet. She was supposed to be a Miniature Yorkshire terrier- But time told a different story.

This is my Beautiful twin sister Jade, I Do love black and whites...
